Ileana Mendoza N.P.

Ileana Mendoza is a certified family nurse practitioner that joined Academy Children's clinic in 2022. She is a product of the South Nashville/Antioch community, having completed her high school degree in Antioch High School and then attending Tennessee State University for her bachelor's degree. She went on to complete her Master's in Science of Nursing at Vanderbilt University. After graduation she provided primary care to underserved individuals in South Nashville. Ileana grew up speaking English and Spanish and now continues to use her bilingual skills to serve the Nashville community. Her special interests are diabetes and childhood obesity. She is passionate about providing quality care to children of all ages and backgrounds. She also enjoys helping patients and their families make informed decisions regarding their diagnoses and treatment options. When she is not at work, Ileana enjoys spending time with her husband, son and bunny named Lola. She enjoys going for bike rides, walks, reading with her son and trying new foods with her family.
