Diana Pontell, M.D.

Diana Pontell, MD is a board-certified general pediatrician. Dr. Pontell joined Academy Children's clinic in 2019. She is originally from Atlanta and attended Emory University for her undergraduate education. She then went on to the University of Pennsylvania for medical school and completed her general pediatrics residency training at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. She worked as a primary care pediatrician for the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia prior to relocating to Nashville, TN with her husband and two children. Dr. Pontell is a native Spanish speaker and has extended family in Ecuador. She has special interests and training in Breastfeeding and Lactation medicine, pediatric mental health, and autism spectrum disorders. She enjoys providing comprehensive pediatric care to children of all ages, from newborns to adolescents.
